Suppliers have resumed production (20 April 2020)

We are currently in close contact with our suppliers to offer you the best possible planning security. We are happy to inform you that we can continue to ensure you a very secure supply and delivery capability. Most of our suppliers have now resumed production and will thus be able to deliver goods to us again in the coming weeks. Our warehouses are still well stocked.

In order to be prepared for all eventualities and to optimally supply you with the products in our range, we recommend the following:

  • Plan your material requirements for the longer term. Due to the current crisis, availability can change unexpectedly and at short notice.
  • Send your orders as early as possible to our sales department. This enables us to plan more precisely for material requirements so as to best to fill your needs.
  • Request the release quantities from your contracts as early as possible so that we can plan your deliveries in the most efficient way.
  • Extend your contracts in good time to ensure high security of supply.
The political situation could further deteriorate internationally and influence availability. We expect to encounter the following challenges:
  • Reduced capacities could lead to supply bottlenecks and longer sourcing times. Thanks to close cooperation with you and early planning, we can align our sourcing to your needs and thus optimally supply you with materials.
  • If supply bottlenecks occur due to shortages, our purchasing costs and in turn sales prices could rise accordingly.

Availability is guaranteed (16.03.2020)

The Swiss Federal Council has declared a state of emergency due to the spread of the coronavirus. We must face up to this challenge and have thus adjusted our processes as follows for the time being:

  • With immediate effect, we will be working wherever possible in team-splitting mode in all divisions. This will avoid direct contact between teams.
  • We will continue to be available to you as always during office hours.
  • However, due to shift work, staff temporarily working from home, and the occasional need for childcare, not all employees can always be reached at their workplace.
  • Deliveries from our suppliers are still ensured but delays may occur due to border closings and limited transport capacities. Please take this into account in your materials planning.
